How it Works
Portfolios
You might have several portfolios. For example, 401k's, 403b's, self directed IRA's, college funds or taxable accounts.
Setup
For each portfolio, enter your holdings and corresponding asset allocation percentages.
Portfolio Tracking
We begin tracking your portfolios upon our staff conducting a thorough review and clearing each for processing.
Alerts
We notify you whenever one or more of your holdings exceed your personal threshold percentage, indicating it may be time to rebalance.
Rebalancing
You choose to rebalance on your terms with your broker or custodian and when you do, the process begins again.

Upon staff review, our system begins monitoring your portfolios and generates an alert whenever a rebalancing opportunity presents itself. These alerts typically generate more frequently during highly volatile periods and less frequently during market lulls. You might choose to act on this notice immediately and conduct exchanges with your broker or custodian or wait until you have more clarity. Either way, the choice is always yours.

Alerts occur whenever one or more holdings exceed your personal threshold. They come in two forms:

 Emails
 • These generate when a portfolio goes into alert status and is applicable for all subscribers
 Text Messages
 • These generate when a portfolio goes into alert status for subscribers who elected to provide their cell phone number

You can view your portfolio status and make changes to your portfolios at any time.

We leverage portfolio valuations, which provide an estimated portfolio value. These valuations drive our service and facilitate market hour alerts, enabling subscribers to act upon market swings on the same day prior to markets closing.

Suppose you have a portfolio with a 50/50 Equity to Bond asset allocation with a 5% absolute threshold. Assuming bonds remain unchanged, to reach 55/45, equities need to increase approximately 22%. To reach 45/55, equities must decline by about 18%.

Therefore, a simple 5% move at the portfolio level requires a holding to change by quite a bit before it is time to rebalance. But that is where your success lies - patience reaps rewards.

"Patience is not just a virtue; it’s a strategy. Success often requires waiting for the right moment to act." - Charlie Munger
